Bleedingham Film Festival

If you are a filmmaker specializing in the frightening, chilling and spooky, we invite you to submit your film to Bleedingham 2013. Submissions will be open spring 2013

Film Submission Guidelines:
    • Submission deadline August 1st, 2013.
    • All films must be either horror or sci-fi themed.
    • All films must be a narrative short. No music videos, film trailers or advertisements.
    • Submission Fees: $10 Early Bird  submission deadline (June 1st), $15 Submission Fee (August 1st), $20 Late Submission Fee (Sept 1st). 
    • Must be made within the last 2 years (before October 31st 2011) and cannot have been entered in previous Bleedingham film festivals.
    • Films should be no longer than 12 minutes.
    • There is no limitation on how horrifying and gory films can be.
    • Submission File Format – 720 p  / h.264  /  AAC Audio (.MOV file) 

Film Festival Tickets are $5.00 for Pickford Film Center members and students, and $7 for all other horror fans.

The Bleedingham Film Festival took place on the Saturday before Halloween, October 27, 2012 at 9:00pm at the Pickford Film Center in Bellingham, Washington.  This new film festival featured short films that showcase the bloodcurdling creativity of filmmakers in the greater Bellingham area.

A panel of NON-participating judges reviewed the films.  Bloodies (Trophies) were awarded for Best Effects, Best Story,Best Director, Best Sound Design, Best Cinematography, Best Editing and Most Unique film. Select films have been picked up for wider distribution, Oct 30th, through the Washington State Studio Network. 

What is the Bleedingham film festival?

Bellingham Film Festivals has organized a horror themed film festival just in time for the Halloween season. Bleedingham Film Festival wants your gore and your dirty little secrets. Dredge up your sickest nightmares.  Bleedingham Film Festival is the first and only festival that caters to your bloodlust. Films may up to 15 minutes in length but there’s no limit to how horrifying they may be. 

New Bleedingham Website

The Bleedingham crew is working hard to create a new website for the Bleedingham film festival. We want to make a user friendly site that has a variety features in addition to festival details. 

The new website will include: Movie reviews, News and Horror stuff, A Gallery of past Bleedingham fun, and a Horror blog by  Langley West and Gary Washington. In addition to the new website, Langley West will be conducting special effects workshops leading up to the festival.
